The first time I realized I wanted to be a voice-over actor, even though I didn't know it yet, was when I was in middle school. I was watching a Japanese anime, Sailor Moon, and the main character was sobbing. I remember being so enamored with the strong emotion that emanated from those tears, and I was amazed how a person could bring so much feeling with just their voice. From then on I dreamed that I would inspire people with my voice like I was inspired by hers.
In high school I took drama all four years, but was too discouraged and nervous to peruse acting as a career going forth. I majored in Japanese in college, but I also kept acting by participating in a theatre group at UCLA, and interning at a Japanese anime dubbing studio. There my passion for voice-over was rekindled, and I slowly gained the courage and determination to follow my childhood dream.
At this point in my life, I have done and been many things so far, but I can think of nothing I want to do more than act. Actually, I can think of nothing I can do except act. I love living multiple lives through my voice, and learning multiple stories. I also love being a part of the tapestry of someone else's artistic vision. I would be honored to play a part in yours!
